The Convenience makes an exciting return with “Routiner/Postcard,” a two track offering that melds dreamy indie rock with the energetic and angular edge of new wave. If you hadn’t been paying close attention, it may have seemed that the band’s Duncan Trost and Nick Corson have been taking it easy since 2021’s Accelerator, but the two have been busy backing Video Age and Hovvdy on tour and honing a refreshing new sound.
