Today The Convenience turn the volume down and the BPM up with new single “Opportunity.” It’s the latest track to showcase the musicianship and sheer versatility of Nick Corson and Duncan Troast, the production and songwriting duo behind The Convenience. The band’s new LP, Like Cartoon Vampires, arrives April 18.
More on today’s single from the band’s Nick Corson: “‘Opportunity" existed as an extended jam for months before being edited and spliced down into a form. During recording, various household objects were shoved in guitar strings to get those percussive sounds. Lyrics are somewhat inspired by the film Opening Night.”
Across thirteen vivid, angular tracks, The Convenience explores an invigorating sound that's just a tad psychedelic on their new record, Like Cartoon Vampires, available to pre-order on Transparent Red vinyl, cassette, and CD.
