J Mahon

Originally growing up in Far North Queensland, Australia, Mahon has played and toured in bands since 2013 with releases on Rough Trade Records in the UK and Liberation Records throughout Australia. In 2019 Mahon moved to Berlin to be located in Europe and to be closer to the UK for touring. Having released music under the pseudonym Emerson Snowe for the past 5 years, released 5 albums and 13 EPs, in 2023 Mahon gained the confidence to release all future work under his name.

Already in 2023 Mahon has signed with UK booking agent Runway Artists, played support tours with Tess Parks and Ulrika Spacek and is set to support Flat Worms and Oscar Lang. Mahon has also released 3 singles and achieved radio support by BBC6 in the UK, alongside plays on independent radio stations worldwide. 2023 also marks the release of his debut album 'EVERYTHING HAS A LIFE', to be released September 8th through Swiss label Taxi Gauche Records.

With influences spanning between Sparklehorse, The Magnetic Fields and The Flaming Lips to Patti Smith, Mahon creates a mixture of Indie Rock and Freak Folk through to Psych Country.
