Traces is about the things people hide and lie about, the moments when they’re
unable to face underlying issues in hope of defending their so-called pride.

By choosing to take the easy way out and avoiding confrontation, we let our ego
come out which stops us from taking the step forward into self-growth. That
within itself creates more problems and in affect makes us seem, and act, more
inadequately as a human being.

The song essentially is the longing notion of wanting to be honest with yourself,
and the people around you.
