ABOUT THIS BAND

Erotic Secrets of Pompeii play wild, weird apocalyptic lounge music - a twisted amalgamation of angular art rock and transgressive post-punk. Their songs have received support from BBC Radio 6, Radio X and BBC Introducing.

ESOP's music is populated by grotesque imagery and vivid symbolism, drawing from artists across different mediums, such as Lynch, Dali, Bacon, Blake, Cronenberg, Jodorowsky, Mapplethorpe.

The band released their debut EP, Trash Jugular, at the end of 2022 which was followed by a UK headline tour in early 2023. This was followed by a handful of appearances at major festivals including Boomtown and Bearded Theory, and support slots for Electric Six's 20th anniversary tour across the UK. Their debut album Mondo Maleficum is out on 25 January 2024.
