Snailbeach

Today, Snailbeach release only their second single “Strangers”, a tender song that recalls the more whimsical side of Father John Misty as Snailbeach bandleader, Theo Williams, sings about finding a sense of peace in an otherwise chaotic world.

Previous single “Fireflies In The Sun” was built around a gently strummed acoustic guitar, the song is brought alive by strings and percussive synth stabs that transport the listener to a tape-saturated studio in the late 70s.

Snailbeach is the alias of Theo Williams, a 23-year-old artist based in South London. His take on Indie-Folk has a whimsical quality contrasted by nostalgic lyrics which tackle human relationships and mortality. Influenced by the likes of Leonard Cohen and Lou Reed, Theo’s writing is sincere, creating a comforting, yet rugged sound world that muses on the past. Following a string of sold out London shows, Theo and his band have been working with producer Shuta Shinoda at Hackney Road Studios on a debut EP to be released via State51.
