Convenience Store follow from their recent single release 'Sand' with an EP of original music produced for the Berlin student film 'Drehmomente'. This 15-minute project includes nine short instrumental tracks that accompany and reflect the film's mercurial structuring conceit, where a single playground swingset becomes the centre of drama for various interconnected encounters. The music draws upon the work of 1990s ambient acts such as Biosphere and Oval, as well as some of the abstract instrumental work of the Durutti Column and Arthur Russell. Electronic synthesiser loops, ambient drone tones, and lo-fi guitar production techniques invoke Convenience Store's distinct DIY sound in these soft ambient pieces.
