ABOUT THIS BAND

Sunnbrella began life as little more than the lo-fi bedroom pop project of Prague-born, London-based David Zbirka in 2018. He released his debut single ‘Feelin’ Invisible’ which was produced alongside LA-based musician Eyedress (Lex Records) and then 'Wanted Time', the band's debut EP was released in early 2019. That summer brought about his first festival appearance at Standon Calling, as well as support slots with Sonic Cathedral signees bdrmm, also supporting GHUM, Vacations and Baywaves in that same year. Zbirka then toured Australia and New Zealand drumming for Golf Alpha Bravo, the project of Jagwar Ma's Gabriel Winterfield, supporting Angus Stone's new project Dope Lemon on their sold-out tour. Sunnbrella's recent releases have transported its sound out of the bedroom-pop realm into a punchier, more refined and ethereal sound, working with London producer Patrick James Fitzroy (Pixx, Heavy Heart), the results are clear to been heard on recent single 'Pauline' and new cut ‘Fever Dream’.
