Electropunk juggernaut ‘STRAIGHT GIRL’ (non-binary | they/them pronouns) is the alias of Leeds-based composer and producer Holly Readman.

Heralded for their ‘magnetic and exhilarating’ live performances, the self-branded ‘connoisseur of sad-dance’ has been bulldozing their way through the UK’s alternative, electronic, and progressive scenes since late 2017.

Having frequented BBC Introducing and being declared ‘zesty’ from the likes of Tom Robinson’s 6 Music Mixtape, STRAIGHT GIRL has stamped their own brand of ‘grave rave’ across the country from performing support slots with the likes of Kero Kero Bonito, Peaness, Miss Eaves, and CYMBALS, to securing merciless festival stage performances at the likes of ArcTanGent, Live At Leeds, Sound City, and more.

An alchemist of remorseless beats and jarring basslines, STRAIGHT GIRL will be taking no prisoners on their mission to prove themselves as the ‘Overlord of Electropunk’.
