ABOUT THIS ARTIST

There is not much known about Kollmorgen. Born and raised in Berlin, she spent her early years moving in and out of music – learning piano, teaching herself guitar, joining some bands, but it “never felt right”, she recalls. “(I) wanted to find my own sound and be more independent, write songs.” Attending a course to learn the basics of producing, some live performances followed, but generally Kollmorgen kept things low to the ground. A perfectionist by design, she’s also a risk-taker: “(I) love to create my own sounds – field recordings – trial and error – chopping, listening, looping…”

The precursor to Kollmorgen’s debut EP “1243” out on March 18, 2022, “All The Wild Animals” is about how each generation has different obstacles to overcome to find their place in an ever changing world, with everything moving faster and faster. The single is remixed by the legend that is Acid Pauli (also ex-The Notwist) with vocal and instrumental remixes for the dance floors of tomorrow.
