ABOUT THIS ARTIST

JD Cliffe caught the music bug at a young age, having been influenced heavily by the UK grime and rap scene. Artists such as Kano, Skepta and Bashy were and continue to be big inspirations for JD. Releasing his first single ‘Bahama$’ in 2016 on soundcloud, JD grew his fan base organically and 2018 was his breakout year. Having shared the stage with Kojo Funds and Section Boyz. JD was then given the opportunity to appear on the esteemed platform COLORS Berlin.   This combined with the consistent release of videos and singles put him in good standing for the release of his debut EP, ‘Neon Jungle’. The EP released on December 7th 2018 was very well received and the lead single ‘Five’ was picked up by DJ Target who chose the single as BBC 1Xtras unsigned track of the week. Following the success of the EP JD Cliffe was selected by award winning publication Complex as one of the top artists to watch in 2019.   Fusing R&B melodies with woozy rap flows, the future is definitely bright for JD.
