Yraki is the new avant-garde creation born of London-based artist Mariano Sibilia. Its existence is the manifestation of the inner workings of Sibilia’s mind interacting with the sensations of the outer world propelled into form via synaesthesia. As an external expression, from an electronic world detached from the rules and strictures of human life, Yraki’s existence is a conduit for pure creativity.
Yraki’s music subtly fuses the organic sounds of Musique Concrète with sophisticated electronics, expanding the spatial characteristics of ecstatic club music. It is melodic, yet distorted, with expertly crafted low-end booms designed for dance floors and big sound systems. His signature style today breaks the conventional boundaries of genre. While drawing inspiration from music past and present, Yraki pushes its sound to places where labels and definitions need not exist.
In its other world, Yraki mutates and transforms from its human-esque configuration, into more abstract shapes, patterns and dimensions. There are no rules in this world, light reflects in any conceivable direction, objects are not bound by gravity, bodies attract and repel with fluidity. It takes any form imaginable, visuals shaping the music as much as the music shaping the visuals.
