Splicing dance-punk, avant-funk & breakbeats, Hang Linton is an interdisciplinary artist based in Leeds. After cutting their teeth in Berlin across multiple projects & collectives, Hang has landed on home soil & is ready to make their mark.
Their art is a rebellion against clean aesthetics, inspired by past experiences, changing global events & the ugliness in the world. It's not pretty - but it's important & Hang will make sure you enjoy the ride.
Hang has been commanding the attention of audiences across the UK at numerous shows & festivals. Equipped with an array of synths, samplers and relentless physicality, Hang bends your ear around the counterculture sounds & movements that have shaped him.
Hang has recently been featured in Forbes, played on 6 music & Radio X, supported Yard Act at Manchester Apollo and Kimya Dawson at Band on the Wall. They will spend 2024 writing & recording their first full length project with Sam Grant at Blank Studios (supported by PRS).
“Simultaneously obnoxious and euphoric mix of dance-punk, funk and breakbeats, Hang Linton is one of the most intense and interesting artists in the UK. You will be impressed.” NARC Magazine
