Bristol’s three-piece wych elm play scrappy, menacing and contemplative grungy indie rock with a touch of the macabre. Fittingly, the band formed to play a Halloween show in 2017 before releasing their debut EP two years later through new Bristol imprint Post Mortem Records, who sold 50 vinyl copies anonymously under the name Jane Doe in hand sewn cadaver bags. The release was a concise, considered and impactful collection of songs and earned them slots at Green Man, Truck and 2000trees festivals as well as support slots with the likes of Hotel Lux, Black Honey, Lice and Snail Mail. The band released their second EP ‘Rabbit Wench’ in September 2021 with the singles ‘Scolds Bridle’ and ‘Executioner’ receiving enthustiastic support from Jack Saunders on Radio 1, Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music, John Kennedy on Radio X and KEXP in the US. The EP was well received pushing their total streams to over 2 million on Spotify. The success of the EP saw them join IDLES at a sold out O2 Academy Brixton in January 2022.
