Sirene is a one woman choir. She speaks plainly and combines her rich vocal tone with honest lyrics, dancing on the branches of the indie folk world. During the pandemic, with endless time to reflect upon relationships gained and lost, the Leeds born artist began writing about conversations in her life which had never happened. These pandemic postcards were sent to a remote rural studio where Sirene spent two weeks working closely with producer Gus White. During this time she honed in on the newly born soundscape of Sirene. The resulting project is an accumulation of melancholic, frank accounts. A discovery of unknown strength in the face of adversity. Sirene’s debut EP Communication Conversation will be released on 19 August 2022 alongside a launch show at Shacklewell Arms (London) on 24 August. ‘Walk Alone’ has been played on BBC 6Music and picked as Record of the Week for BBC Introducing as well as Deb Grant’s Eclectic Mix (Fresh on the Net). Sirene has performed a live session for BBC Introducing among other notable support.
