SEX CELLS is the collaborative project of artist Lupen Crook and writer Willow Vincent. Described by CLASH Magazine as 'dance music for outsiders', their abrasive performances, coupled with their homemade Dadaist, occult-infused aesthetic, have drawn comparisons to punk pioneers Suicide.
Now based in Ramsgate, Kent, the duo have branched out into other creative ventures, including art curation, videography, and the founding of their own publication Cruel Design, which explores perversity and divergence in subculture spaces.
SEX CELLS have provided support to the likes of Meatraffle, Blanck Mass, HMLTD and International Teachers of Pop. 2024 will see the release of their new self-produced album 'Impure Psychic Automatism', a follow-up to the frenetic and primal 'That's Life' (2020).
