There’s a lot happening in the Rubblebucket universe (Rubbleverse?) right now.
Year Of The Banana Tour starts today! We haven’t see most of you in about two years and this may be the last time playing these cities for a long while so we're excited to bask in joyous love rays with all of you. We've been working on the new show for many many months we think its our tightest most dynamic yet. Joining us along the way are the amazing Hannah Mohan, CAPYAC, and Tōth. Also today, we’ve released a cover of The Moldy Peaches’ “Anyone Else But You,” available now on all music streaming platforms! We’ve always loved this song. The lyrics are so poetic and it feels connected to our story and the themes of Year Of The Banana. It was a little challenging to figure out how we could bring something fresh to something so perfect without ruining it but we're happy with our added syncopations, percussion, trumpet and synthesizer. It was really fun to inhabit that enchanted starry eyed lyrical world.
Our hearts have been aching to see what’s been happening in LA. We’re sorry for the horrific losses of homes and businesses and neighborhoods. We’re sending so much love to everyone who has been affected. For the foreseeable future, all proceeds from digital Bandcamp sales of this song and Year Of The Banana will be donated to Altadena Girls Fire Recovery.
