Fronted by Droylsden cousins Jack Yates (singer) & James Yates (guitar) with Liam O'Shea (Bass), Joe Anderson (guitar) & Rhys Wheeler (drums), their sound draws influence from Ride, Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas, The Verve & Durutti Column. Their new single Deeper Than Holy dropped on Friday 19th March 2021 (Spirit Of Spike Island recordings) with Steve Lamacq premiering the track on BBC 6 Music just 15 minutes after release. Produced by J. Fender (Afflecks Palace) & mastered by John Davis (The Stone Roses), their debut 4 track EP featuring Deeper Than Holy will drop in summer 2021 on limited-edition vinyl. Pastel will be touring the UK in September 2021 supporting label-mates Afflecks Palace - playing Manchester (Gorilla) on September 11th, Ramsgate, Newcastle, Glasgow (sold out), Birmingham (sold out), Bristol, Nottingham and London (sold out).
