ABOUT THIS BAND

Fire! To The River, the band's most ambitious project yet, was released on the 20th February. Recorded with and produced by Nathan Ridley (Plantoid, Blue Bendy), the 7 track EP sees them engage more intimately with post-rock and ambience, leaving rich, sprawling soundscapes in the wake of the meditative pockets of jazz-rock they've become known for. As the final songs evolve into a 10 minute reckoning with faith and pain, the journey across genres and narratives comes to a howling close.

This upcoming sophomore EP follows their successful 2023 debut EP Tell the Bees and the 2024 double single ‘Commedia / Guatavita’, the latter of which was recorded with Josh Finerty (Shame).

Otala consists of Oscar Thorpe (Guitar, Vocals), Rory Allen (Bass Guitar), Charlotte Foulkes (Sax), Jack McInnes (Synth), and Jacob Wing (Drums)
