Night Noise Team is a band originally based in Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland. Initially active between 2008-2014. NNT was formed by Parisian producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Fabien Pinardon and Belfast born musician and songwriter Sean Ormsby. NNT developed a sound which dipped into a shared love of French chansons, funk, melodic guitars, joyous dance music and mainstream pop but was also, especially lyrically, influenced by the pair's new Scottish home. The band wrote, recorded and released three albums and a slew of singles and also recruited some fine local musicians to present the Night Noise Team live experience. NNT recorded two BBC Introducing sessions, the first of which was broadcast on BBC Radio 1. It also played the legendary T in the Park festival and was supported with airplay from BBC 6 Music DJs Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson and Vic Galloway at BBC Radio Scotland. Consistently positive press from the likes of NME, Hot Press, The Scotsman, The List and The Skinny was a feature of the band's initial incarnation, as well as regular playlisting on international podcasts and radio. NNT was put in the deep freeze in 2014 when Fabien and Sean decided the band had run its course for the time being and also began living in different cities. The pair recently reconvened to record an entirely new album and decided to compile a sonic Rough Guide as an introduction to the varied styles and quiet musical ambition of Night Noise Team. New material due in 2021.
