Originally from Tijuana, based in Mexico City. Mint Field is one of these bands that make it shine. Guided by frontwoman and lead singer Estrella del Sol in vocal and guitar duties, Sebastian Neyra in the bass, and Callum Brown on drums. Mint Field explores the nostalgia and the melancholy of daily life with loud guitars and vocals that are like sighs that give life to unique and supernatural shoegaze. With releases such as their debut album Pasar de las Luces, Mientras Esperas and their latest album from 2020 'Sentimiento Mundial'. Their sound has evolved over the course of these years of touring all over the world. With their debut LP, the band did over 100 shows in the United States, Mexico, and headline tours in Europe. In 2019 original drummer Amor Amezcua left the band. Later on, the band went on to record their follow-up LP "Sentimiento Mundial" in London UK. The recording took place with help of producer Syd Kemp as well as the first time working with drummer Callum Brown both members of Ulrika Spacek. The album sees the evolution of the band's psych-shoegaze sound shift toward a more minimal, rhythmically focused approach, adding new sounds of violin, strings, and saxophone. This was achieved with the help of guest collaborators Cathy Lucas (Vanishing Twin), Nathan Pigott and other members of the HaHa Sounds Collective. Sentimiento Mundial crystalizes Mint Field's distinctive, contemporary sound with passion and energy that takes us to unimaginable places.
