ABOUT THIS BAND

Based between London and Berlin, Minimal Schlager operate at the intersection between Italo disco, the darker corners of New Wave and various forgotten sounds picked up in the dive clubs of Berlin, a direct sweet spot between pure pop and haunting, Lynchian synth pop.

Having recently returned from performances at SXSW and shows in London and Paris, the duo has announced their debut album set to be released on 9th September via Berlin's Duchess Box Records.

Their latest single, Forbidden Fruit, is a synth heavy dreamy ear worm which wouldn't sound out of place in any David Lynch movie. The track is from their forthcoming debut album Love, Sex & Dreams, recorded in Berlin's Impression Recordings by producer Robbie Moore (Andreya Casablanca, Florence and the Machine).
