Mauv today shares new single Wash Over Me on London/L.A. based label All My Thoughts. Despite the infancy of the project, the London via the midlands artist has made waves of late, with recent single Change Will Come Anyway - a duet with Pixx - generating a buzz which saw the song on heavy rotation at BBC 6Music and eventually added to their playlist. Known in the South London scene - while still very much a newcomer - Mauv is something of an outlier, as his previous singles demonstrate. Wash Over Me follows recent single Manual which Clash Magazine described as having an "other-worldly sense of melody"
On Wash Over Me, Mauv says "Wash Over Me digs into a personal direction of how I saw myself in the world. I think London had brought out much more of a down beaten, passive version of me. Through the intensity of life here, I think I'd fallen into the trap of really forgetting to look after myself, and I’d lost myself in a trap of self loathing that had led to me just feeling like I was floating along without control"
