London risers Malady release brand new debut EP ‘All Pressure, No Diamonds’, out now via Modern Sky.
Spearheaded by invigorating lead tracks ‘Hyperreal’ and ‘Pressure Builds’ and fresh from an acclaimed support run alongside indie titans Wet Leg late last year, the Londoners will be heading back on the road early next month to celebrate the release of their debut record - an intense blast of indie and electronic fusion that’s cemented their soaring reputation throughout the emerging landscape.
With multiple dates already notched up alongside English Teacher, Opus Kink, Swim Deep and Hotel Lux in recent times, the group’s profile continues to excel at an impressive rate, with significant praise across the press community (Stereogum, NME, The Sunday Times, The FADER, So Young, DIY, Loud & Quiet, Dork, Clash, Gigwise, Rough Trade, Notion, Under The Radar) and countless spins on the BBC Radio 1/BBC 6 Music (Jack Saunders, Gemma Bradley) airwaves accompanying their first few initial releases.
Speaking ahead of their release, the band explained: “This EP is a set of songs that deals in the trials and tribulations that come with the very nature of being a young adult today - dealing with long-term depression, overindulgence in the internet, trying to make a way in a system that is set up for so many of us to fail, worrying that the glory days are long gone, to name a few”.
Malady’s ‘All Pressure, No Diamonds’ (EP) is out now via Modern Sky and available on all digital platforms.
Malady is Percy Junior Cobbinah (vocals, guitarist), Khaleem Richards (bassist), Charlie Clark (guitarist, synths), Ashley Noel-Hirst (drums)
