“Dark Indie party hooks meet lyrical lunacy meet post-punk vocals and drums, and the whole thing's just cracking carnage.” - Sarah Gosling (Outsiders/Radio X)
Lunch's music is high-octane, angular indie punk with a sound that pulls from post-punk, noughties indie and undertones of 90’s alt rock. Sometimes weird, always direct. They like to call the mixture Party Punk.
Lunch combine the stabbing guitars of GANG OF FOUR and the deep aggression of PIXIES with the sing-shouting lyricism of DO NOTHING and SHAME.
The band’s latest single ‘267’ was recorded with the highly in-demand Ben Hampson (Bloc Party, DITZ, Lambrini Girls). Recording is underway this Summer for an EP to be released in 2025.
Having made their mark in the London and Bristol scenes and beyond, they’ve supported the likes of Stuck (Chicago), Panic Shack, Hot Wax, Pulled Apart By Horses and performed at venues including The Shacklewell Arms, Sebright Arms, The Old Blue Last, The George Tavern and O2 Academy Islington and in Bristol at The Louisiana, The Exchange and Crofter’s Rights.
