Krooked Tongue return with new single 'Different Breed'! After the success of their debut single 'I Wanna Steal Your Car' and sophomore single 'Girls with Knives' which saw the band explode onto the playlist of every rock fanatic out there, Krooked Tongue return, keen to continue what they’ve started. “Dance like the Bull is the 3rd single from underground rock trio Krooked Tongue. An earth shattering, poetry filled backlash against the confines of the mind. It contemplates self doubt and reassures self worth, with a message to reinforce the idea that we are good enough. With this, it punches a moon sized hole in the wall of expectations, and marches together with the confidence of human identity, and the notion that we are all worth something. With gut busting drum fills, searing guitar lines, savage bass tones and angsty vocals, this wall of sound will have you ready to tear down reality and immerse yourself in a whirlpool of chaotic beauty" 2019 saw Krooked Tongue embark on their first UK headline tour. The Bristol based trio, known for their fierce energy live, incorporating trademark riffs & melodic hooks, have begun to give the underground rock scene a run for its money.

Selected Reviews and Comments

Formed in 2019 by Oli Rainsford, Dan Smith and Harry Pritchard, Krooked Tongue is a Bristol-based alternative-rock three-piece known for their frenetic live shows and brooding lyrical commentary. The trio have today released their long-awaited debut EP ‘No Vacancy Hotel’.

Krooked Tongue released their debut single ‘I Wanna Steal Your Car’ in 2019 to critical acclaim, which soon saw them embarking on their first UK tour. Interest in the band quickly grew, leading them to establish working relationships with the likes of ENTS 24 and Laney Amps.

2020 saw the cancellation of their second UK tour and the postponement of shows alongside the likes of Dinosaur Pile-Up and Turbowolf, as well as festival slots at Boardmasters and 2000 Trees. They’ve instead spent the last year honing in on a more refined studio sound with Josh Gallop of Phoxjaw at Stage 2 Studios in Bath, working to help replicate their formidable live act.

The product of their recording efforts comes in the form of ‘No Vacancy Hotel’ their four-track debut EP due for release February 11th.  Each track is a standalone single in it’s own right, resulting in an all killer, no filler affair.

Throughout the course of the EP, listeners are taken on a journey through a collection of stories, each as lyrically visceral as the next. Dripping with Krooked Tongue’s signature swagger, the EP in its entirety is a brazen example of the band’s new musical direction and what’s to come; Bursting with walls of distorted grunge-fuelled riffs, aggressive basslines, tight, punchy drums and Rainsford’s sinister, crooning vocals.

“Last year's singles sound like Queens Of The Stone Age breaking Royal Blood out of jail and showcase a band straining at the leash” - Louder

“Krooked Tongue had a fantastic start for such a new band in 2019, their debut single ‘I Wanna Steal Your Car’ was a spotify playlist favourite and their debut U.K tour was a total success. They built a strong reputation for their incendiary live shows.” - Clunk

“No Vacancy Hotel is a consistently strong listen but the highlight lies in it's title track where flowing vocals are carried on a wave by soaring guitars” - Hardbeat Magazine

“Distorted as hell and dripping with emotion.” - Bristol Music Journal

“Whilst the EP may resonate overwhelming with the angst-consumed youths, as a debut EP it is still one many others may only gawk at in the hopes that the blueprints they’ve laid out may one day be misplaced and fall into the hands of those hoping to follow in their shadow. - Distorted Sound Mag
