Describing themselves as ‘indie-witches’, there is scant evidence of Hastings-based duo Korda Korder to be found online. Their only trace is the enchanting debut single ‘What Have You Done?’ - a ghostly pared-back dream-pop gem, of earthy guitars and melancholic vocals that’s beautifully sparse yet hauntingly direct.
Initially released on Soundcloud, and made available as free download, the single amassed immediate attention on national radio’s tastemakers, featuring on BBC Radio 6Music on Huw Stephens’ Roundtable and Steve Lamacq, BBC Introducing and Radio X (John Kennedy’s ‘X-Posure Big One’).
Now available on streaming for the first time this week, the band gear up to play their debut London show at the Waiting Room in Stoke Newington on 25th November. Offering more insight into the track, the band simply say:
“What Have you Done? Is our first ever release. It was also the first song we’ve ever written, recorded live, in a single take”
