In the recordings of salamander, the eclectic talents of Pea Jay and Leo Frampton weave together to form a unique sonic and lyrical tapestry. With each salamander song, a new subgenre is born into the world, i.e: HyperGrunge, PopRock, PsychedelicSqueeze, and FutureEmo. Through their musicality, they set to achieve ambitious goals such as "Full Nuclear Disarmament by 2024 Worldwide." A philosophy of improvisation guides their raw live performances in kind opposition to a culture of rote reproducibility. In a musical universe characterized by simulation and the haunted figure of the popstar, their enactment of what is possible in a band structure offers a freshness for lovers of live performance, experimentation and pop transcendence.
