From the edge of the Arctic circle, Keecen rises with his “Tromsø-funk” sounds, sharing warmth and slickness from an otherwise cold and rugged habitat. In the deep and snowy footsteps of great Norwegian artists such as Röyksopp, Biosphere, and Bjørn Torske, Keecen paves the way for a new generation of Tromsø-based artists. The producer and DJ is nothing but a Nordic Funk phenomenon, smoothly blending warm sound combinations, from soul samples to groovy basslines, and piano melodies into well-produced electronic records for your soul. It's a sound that comes together perfectly to create a warm feeling that is deeply grounded in the Scandinavian house music traditions. Keecen has previously released a series of tracks under different aliases and worked with labels such as Mhost Likely, Full Pupp, and lately his own imprint Mellom.
