James Bright’s career in production began in 1999 when he was introduced to legendary producer Steve Miller (Afterlife). The duo went on to form the successful downbeat act Lux and their debut production, ‘Northern Lights’ was chosen as the opening track for Café Del Mars volume 7. It has since gone on to feature on a number of high profile synchronisations and is considered a Chill classic that still sits high on a large number of playlists and charts. The pair collaborated many times over the years transforming Lux into downbeat legends appearing on many of the genres highest profile compilations and playlists.
As a solo artist James Bright’s productions have featured on a number of compilations, including over 20 appearances on the world-famous Cafe Del Mar Series. He is a highly regarded producer in his field. His first solo album ‘Little Things’ has become a sought-after classic and his remixes for many diverse artists, such as Candi Staton, Roots Manuva, New Order spin off band Bad Lieutenant and many more, are widely applauded.
James' recent releases have gained rave reviews from some of the top electronic music curators worldwide including; Jimpster, Groove Armada, Trevor Fung, Hector Romero, Lea Lisa, Greame Park, Leo Mas, and Sean Johnston.
