Kam-BU from South West London with a style that inherently nods at UK Rap. Kam continues to push boundaries championing his roots in sound system culture & Innate British up-bringing. He draws on influences from diverse acts ranging from Fela Kuti and Hiatus Kaiyote, to The Streets and The Prodigy, having spent years in underground UK raves. Kam-Bu's music points to a unique and singular talent who can effortlessly oscillate between party anthems and laser-like lyricism shedding light on personal life experiences, community, politics and the environment. Perfectly reflected in critically acclaimed debut EP "Black on Black" (2021) Standing as an ode to the Windrush, the descendants and all diasporas in foreign lands. Featuring two prolific guests; Rachel Chinouriri & Knucks. This year Kam-Bu starts to roll out his second project, "Built 2 Last', a unique and high energy tape, channeling his love for raving and dance music. A rousing, rebel sound bound to shutdown raves and festivals in 2023. The enigmatic and energetic live performer has Sold Out 3 headline shows in London and has graced the stages of Reading & Leeds, All Points East, Glastonbury, Pitchfork Paris and more. Kam is an advocate for sustainability and community based initiatives, having worked on community projects with Idris Elba, TCV Green Gym, London Wildlife Trust, Keep Hush, Gucci & Flock Together.
