Happenings

Formed in early 2022, Happenings are a five-piece collective of music-makers based in Walyalup, WA. The band have created their own unique approach into the world of alternative folk-pop and soft-rock, executing this exploration via song and performance.

Happenings has taken a reflective and honest approach to their writing, delving into themes of self identity, love stuff and general ponderings of time and place. These stories and songs lay within the everyday landscape, encapsulating a sense of familiarity.

After the joyous release of their first single Now is the Right Time in late 2022, Happenings have signed, sealed and delivered their second single Fig Jam Man. This track delves into some slightly-soul-esk sounds, with the lyrical themes touching on the desire for simple living and party anxiety.

The band have found their feet quickly in the WA music scene, playing a busy string of shows across Boorloo and Walyalup supporting the likes of Noah Dillon, HAIRCARE and Hector Morlet, as well as New Zealand-based band Soaked Oats.
