Goddamn Wolves is an indie rock trio from Raleigh, North Carolina. The band’s sound centers on hard hitting riffs combined with catchy melodies and male/female vocal interplay. Their sound is influenced by both classic alternative bands like Pixies and the Replacements, as well as current acts like the Beths and Bully.
The band consists of singer/guitarist/songwriter Chris Weilding (formerly of Hedwig and the Angry Inch band Cheater), Los Angeles transplant Laura McCullough (bass/vocals), and Drew Foglia (drums/vocals). Fusing punky riffs with a fiery male/female vocal tagteam, it’s like X and the New Pornographers collided in a back alley brawl. Brace for an in-your-face attitude, a playful middle finger to the norm, and a garage punk track that hits like a Mudhoney-fueled punch to the gut. – Last Day Deaf ”Seven Days a Week” represents a heightening of collaboration within the band, with Chris contributing the verses and choruses and Laura adding the bridge. Since writing this song, the band has continued to build on this dynamic. As Laura puts it, “This one is probably my favorite Goddamn Wolves song. It's the first where I contributed part of the music and lyrics (the bridge in this case). I’ve done more of that since and it’s really an honor to be able to work with Chris on that level. I’m such a fan of his writing, that I get a bit of impostor syndrome, but it’s also extremely fun!”
"Seven Days a Week (Radio Edit)" was recorded by Max Gowan and Travis Harrington at Found After Dark studio in Raleigh, NC. It was mixed and mastered by Max Gowan.
