Atlanta-raised and Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, and artist girl_irl is a driving force of the self-described genre “industrial pop”. Performance art forged by years of blending techno, pop, and industrial music as an underground-club-packing and runway-soundtracking DJ, they began releasing singles in 2021, floating their instantly-iconic unbothered deadpan voice over glitched-out percussion and booming basses, their unique background combined with an Atlanta upbringing brings new invention - they don’t say they’re genre bending, they prove it.
