Forged in a DIY cauldron so hot it simply couldn’t contain them, False Advertising have spent years honing their craft by developing their own take on grungy alternative rock. With the pandemic swiftly following the release of 2019’s Brainfreeze (via Alcopop! Records!), immediate follow-up release and live plans were paused, leading the band to spend the last three years working on new material between Manchester and The Church Studios in London.
Occupying a space between cathartic noisy riffs, seething close-to-the-bone lyrics, infectious pop-hooks, and introspective soundscapes and storytelling, the band have found acclaim from the likes of Kerrang!, NME, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and many others.
False Advertising return in 2024, with new single 'Don't Ask Me' and a build of activity throughout the year with a slew of ferocious live performances, including slots at Manchester Punk Fest and Strangeforms, alongside a headline tour in November.
