Dork deems them "a band not to be missed," while Gigwise insists they are an "absolute must-see”
Dim Imagery refuse to be pigeonholed with their latest single Violence. Taking inspiration from crank-wave, art rock and the Calgary Sound, Violence is precise and delivers minimalist vocal melodies woven into a deep and intricate mosaic of instruments. Fragments from Art Rock, New Wave & Krautrock bleed across Violence; yet this bleeding is coherent, poised, and playful.
After numerous iterations, Violence emerged as a composition twice the length of our initial intent. It stands as the inaugural creation of our current lineup, marking a bold departure from the tension-filled realms of noisy post-punk. Instead, it meticulously weaves intricate musical mosaics, drawing influences from the expansive realm of art rock.
