city: BrooklynToday New York’s Daneshevskaya unveils a new single, the swoon-worthy “Kermit & Gyro.” It’s a track that Daneshevskaya’s Anna Beckerman penned in the desperation of a break-up, she says—“I wrote it out of confusion and eagerness. It’s about clinging to the idea of what the relationship brought you and how the relationship can still be a part of you. But also feeling completely untethered and adrift.”
Known for her “impossibly magic melodies” (Paste), the new track follows Daneshevskaya’s wintry single “Scrooge” and 2023’s Long Is The Tunnel, which her nod as a Rolling Stone ‘Artist You Need To Know,’ Stereogum ‘Artist To Watch’ and landed at #11 on Paste’s ‘30 Best Debut Albums of 2023.’
