DEAR-GOD is the musical project of 22-year-old artist Robert Ortiz.
With a self-produced vision that incorporates punk, hardcore and industrial sounds with rap cadences into something truly singular, DEAR-GOD has occupied a unique and exciting space since arriving in 2019 with debut single and video for “The Burbs.”
2020 singles “Buck,” “Lovin’ It” and “New Kid On The Block” and debut EP 1-844-4DEAR-GOD saw DG collaborate with mixer Lars Stalfors, whose recent credits include Lil Peep, St. Vincent and Soccer Mommy.
DEAR-GOD was named as one of NME’s 100 Artists to watch in 2021 and his initial recordings – and their wild accompanying videos – were hailed by The FADER, Revolver, Clash, and many more.
Following the release of 1-844-4DEAR-GOD on Terrible Records, DEAR-GOD partnered with Dine Alone Records for the release of his first LP, which is expected in early 2023.
First single “The Dungeon” was co-produced by Lecx Stacey and features fellow Brampton artist and frequent collaborator DoFlame.
