ABOUT THIS BAND

Hailing from Nottingham, alternative quartet; Cucamaras (Josh, Olly, Dan and Joe), have gigged relentlessly up and down the country since their formation in 2018, packing out legendary venues such as Rescue Rooms and The Leadmill. Whilst doing so, Cucamaras have gained support from the likes of BBC Radio 6Music, CLASH Magazine and former Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman.   The bands early discography touched on indie/ garage rock with releases such as ‘Lime Street Liar’ and ‘Please Not Tonight’ whilst the bands more recent double A-sided single ‘Keep It Cool/ Window Seat’ took Cucamaras’ sound lo-fi, reminiscent of ‘Teens Of Denial’ era Car Seat Headrest.   2021 sees Cucamaras rise to their biggest live shows to date, whilst upcoming releases, such as ‘Death of the Social’ (out 16th April), promise a more ambitious, grittier, post-punk inspired sound.
