Described by BBC Introducing as ‘very fresh and new’, China Aster is the solo project of Guernsey-born, London-based Josh Moore. Having been compared to MGMT, John Maus, The Smiths and Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, China Aster combines electronic pop with post-punk in a project that Moore describes as ‘lucid daydreaming’.
Having worked with producer Oliver Marson (Jessica Winter, Kirin J Callinan) and mixing engineer Joshua Rumble (Black Country, New Road), China Aster has been supported by Louder Than War (‘single of the month’), Post-Punk, Purple Melon, BBC Introducing (track of the week') and Amazing Radio (Playlist and Amazing Sessions).
