Slimy Bench

Slippery trio from Brighton, UK.

Slimy Bench are a trio band that formed in late 2022 by members George Riley, Ruby Campion and James Devine. They gained a lot of experience having gigged extensively throughout 2023 primarily in Brighton, releasing first EP “Joy Like No Other” (which is now exclusive to Bandcamp) with the aid of producer Archie Sagers. Additionally, a few months later continued a string of successful shows in Spring, being able to support the primary influence for the band’s sound, Speedy Ortiz, throughout their Brighton tour date at Green Door Store. As well as this, frontdemon George worked collaboratively to put on a couple of live painting gigs with Maria Biernacka. Due to the departure of bassist Ruby Campion, to continue their live experience further, the trio enlisted help from bassist of Single Parents, Kait Smith. Additionally to the influence of Speedy Ortiz, their sound is akin to that of Modest Mouse, Lambrini Girls and Mannequin Pussy.
