Malcolm MacLachlan, who records as appian, is a musician and DJ from Detroit, Michigan, and is currently based in New York. Influenced by the futuristic sounds of techno and experimental electronica, MacLachlan blends these influences to explore his own experiences and synthesize new sonic journeys. appian has contributed music for FINA records, Stripped & Chewed, ANMA, as well as his own Clave House, Sly Fox, and Corndogs imprints.
