Alpen Glow

Alpen Glow is the loner pop project of Montreal based visual artist and musician Amery Sandford (BBQT, Born at Midnite). With an off the cuff approach to writing, recording, and producing music, her debut EP Amertape 2020 delves into ideas of the constructed persona and escapism into digital realities. Her hook-padded songs are reminiscent of commercial melodies that dissolve over tiny pop instrumentals. The playful lyrics knowingly confront aspiration for oneself, all the while casually reflecting her own desires of longing for parties with friends, dream connecting at a club in the clouds, or just being excited to hug again.
