city: London, PhiladelphiaPhiladelphian London based producer and composer ‘telepath blue’ has just released their haunting yet captivating debut single ‘Forsaken’. Previously known under their own name, Cosette Gobat, telepath blue is a new project to explore the possibilities when the genres of electronica, pop, neo-classical, and ambient are experimented with, blending the musical differences into a unique, incomparable sound. After over a decade of writing, performing, and producing music, the young composer ventures into a different realm, changing their creative approach through electronic production, improvisation, and artistic aesthetics. ‘Forsaken’ begins with a dark drone-like bass and ethereal vocals, and once you’re fully immersed in its sonic dimension, a light, catchy beat breaks out, setting the rest of the song into electronica. ‘Forsaken’ is about the feeling of abandonment, when someone you love doesn’t quite love you the same, allowing for the feelings of loss, grief, and longing to take over a heart full of love. “To fall to pieces I died in your arms” This first single of telepath blue sets the tone for future releases, whatever may follow, we know it will be some form of experimentation in musical exploration.
