ABOUT THIS BAND
Wet Satin was the name of a reality-altering psychotropic sunscreen from a Philip K Dick novel Jason read in a dream. Comprised of Lumerians members Marc Melzer and Jason Miller, the project got going in 2020 when the duo suddenly had a lot of unplanned downtime for some reason. Wet Satin is "Kosmische Tropicale," an expression of reverence and enthusiasm growing from a long-time shared obsession with lost Cosmic Disco, Cumbia, Afrofunk and Library Music records.
"We wanted to make something fun. Not too serious, but not frivolous either. Something that paid respect to its influences by adding a square to the quilt rather than trying to make a replica." The first peek into their upcoming debut release on Fuzz Club Records, WitchKraft Singles is equal parts dark magical ritual, electronic dating service, and milk protein isolate. Good for spirit, vitality and strong bones.
