Uncle Junior are Oli Noble (Vocals, Guitar), Patrick Lewis (Bass) and Isaac West (Drums), three friends who met in their secondary school music department. After many years spent between different names and exchanging roles as instrumentalists, they settled on Uncle Junior.
Uncle Junior bring a refreshing take on noise rock, combined with their influences from the London DIY music scene, and have made a name for themselves through their erratic live performances and eclectic sound. Their debut single “I Love You, Kenneth Copeland” perfectly encapsulates this, combining ironic lyrics about a controversial celebrity televangelist with a raw but refined arrangement that twists and punches along a catchy rhythm.
Recorded at Ten 87 Studios in Tottenham by producer Gordon Raphael (known for his work with The Strokes and Regina Spektor) and mixed by upcoming engineer Murray Gray, “I Love You, Kenneth Copeland” is the first single to come from their upcoming EP.
