ABOUT THIS BAND

Led by Icelandic musician Hákon Aðalsteinsson, who has also played guitar in The Brian Jonestown Massacre for five years, and previously played with Singapore Sling and Tess Parks. The Third Sound are a Berlin based band that have been a firm fixture on the European psych underground for over ten years.

Dealing in a hypnotic blend of neo-psychedelia, post-punk and new wave, their sixth full length studio album is due for release in May 2024 on Fuzz Club Records. Following 2021’s highly acclaimed and sold out ‘First Light’, 2018’s ‘All Tomorrow’s Shadows’, 2016’s ‘Gospels of Degeneration’, 2013’s ‘The Third Sound of Destruction and Creation’ and their 2011 self-titled debut which was released on Anton Newcombe’s A Recordings. With Hakon Aðalsteinsson leading the group on vocals and guitar, the rest of the band is currently comprised of Robin Hughes (Guitar / Organ), and Frankie Broek (Drums).
