A song about role models, failures and unsung heroes

Fast becoming renowned for lyrical prowess, catchy hooks and visceral live performances, the Lincoln post-punk/indie upstarts have already made an impression since their recent inception in 2023. Snarler-songwriter and mastermind of the outfit, Ste Real, started writing songs completely by accident in the summer lockdown of 2021. One thing led to another and he found James and Ben in the local music scene, later recruiting Tom from Sheffield and building a supergroup around the material. The penultimate track on Televised Mind's upcoming 5-track debut EP, produced by MPG Breakthrough Producer of the Year, Tayte Nickols, 'National Hero' is a song about role models, getting out of our comfort zones and reaching for our true potential in this life. Ste commented, 'The centrepiece of this song revolves around an out-of-body experience at the bridge. The rest of the narrative flowed from there. National Hero is dedicated to all of the unsung heroes and heroines of our world. We Televised Minds salute you.'
