Teleforme are an English, post-punk/new wave inspired quartet from the Thames Delta, making a definitive statement in this angry, divided climate. Commanding 2023 with a string of exciting live performances, stage invasions and European shows.
The band received high praise for their first single Drowning from the late Janice Long, who likened them to 'an English Fontaines D.C. with such an all consuming sound'. Follow up single Tired was hailed as a 'call to arms for the memory of those living under the weight of an unjust society' by Hard of Hearing, with Clunk Magazine stating 'Bands like Teleforme represent the rising dissent among young people and they articulate it brilliantly'.
Release of third single Hold Your Head - like predecessor Tired garnered strong support from BBC Introducing - with So Young Magazine professing 'this quartet once again plunges you deep into their shiver-inducing ferocity as each release effortlessly builds upon the last'.
Following on from their previous single Empty Faces, the band's most punk-leaning track to date - Crisis sets the precedence for what's to come from Teleforme for the rest of the year. A darker, more aggressive, moodier sound - a reflection of the environment around them, as the strain on the population grows stronger, the wealth gap ever rising and hope for young people steadily reaching its demise.
