Fast-emerging British singer-songwriter and guitarist Rosie Frater-Taylor is widely regarded as a virtuoso guitarist and a vocalist with a powerful emotional range and depth. Her 2021’s self-produced album ‘Bloom’ garnered in excess of 3 million streams, was nominated at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards and made revered US radio station KCRW’s Albums Of The Year list. She played over 60 shows across Europe with her trio in 2022 before heading into the studio to write her new album, capturing the band’s newly found energy and chemistry.
Frater-Taylor’s upcoming album will be released on legendary, British indie label Cooking Vinyl in February 2024, drawing influence from artists like PJ Harvey, through Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush, to the rockier roster - where John Mayer, St. Vincent and Madison Cunningham hold court. The record marks a stylistic shift and deftly blurs the boundaries between rock, alt pop, neo soul, new-school jazz and folk whilst tackling an array of themes including : self-reflection, vulnerability and anger.
